Ever wonder why the railway is going down the drain? I have found a few contributing factors. #1: The train is NEVER on time. #2: The train looks an smells terrible. Tody I went to cancel my ticket and was told it could be done but I would lose the money I paid. In that case they should just make a note on the ticket: To cancel a ticket, throw it down the drain next to the railway. I once spent 13 hours on that infernal train from Bloemhof to Krugersdorp after waiting TREE HOURS on Bloemhof station. The train kept stopping at 100 meter intervals for 15-30 minutes every time. On my way from Klerksdorp to potch last week I was told a ticket was R100, but The system was down and I had to buy one on the train where they charged me R130. Travel or a lack thereof is one indication of a dying economy.
