Never again!

On the trip between J'burg and PE EVERYTHING was wrong except the coffee.<br> Train departed 45 minutes after scheduled departure time and arrived 4hrs late at the destination.<br> The train manager was obnoxious and anything but helpful. In fact, we had the impression that he was looking for opportunities to argue with passengers.<br> We had a double booking to our compartment and this after we have obtained written confirmation via e-mail that the cabin was booked only for me and my wife. Once again the train manager was threatening and unhelpful and instead of dealing with the issue threatened to put us off the train because we challenged his authority!!<br> The cabin was DIRTY!! The carpet has seen the best of its life probably 5 years ago already.<br> No hot water either in our compartment and the communal shower.<br> The table cloths in the dining coach was filthy.<br> Hot wine and no ice on the train.<br> And so the list goes on and on......<br> We've traveled with Shosholoza 5 years ago from PE to Cape Town and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately things have gone seriously wrong since then and if we hadn't had to go back to J'burg by train they wouldn't have seen me again! And they won't after this trip
