Wrongfully accused

I am a parent that is disappointed by the actions of Shoprite Evander. My daughter was accused of *****ing a chocolate on the 8th of October 2024. My husband and I were called to Shoprite and when we arrived they told us that my daughter was caught on camera *****ing a chocolate. When we asked to see the footage of her *****ing, they refused to show us claiming that it was their shop policy. I was told to "discipline" my child, but how can I do that without proof clearly showing my daughter *****ing it? When I asked my daughter about it, she says she didn't do it and when she tried explaining to them that she got the chocolate from a friend at school, the women claiming that they saw her ***** it laughed at her because she explained in English. When I asked the security that "caught" my daughter if she saw her ***** with her own eyes she said she was told by her colleagues to apprehend my daughter in front of everyone at Shoprite after she clearly claimed to have seen her do it. The next day my daughter came back home with video proof of her clearly getting the chocolate from a friend/classmate at school. When I asked them to ask people who were present and witnessed everything happen, they refused saying that they don't want to involve them claiming that they are third parties and only parents should be involved even though we weren't there when everything transpired. The chocolate that my daughter entered the premises with is still in their possession, clueless to what contents may be inside of it, probably endangering other customers because of their negligence and own understanding of the situation. Once we decided to not let this situation slide and file a complaint, they started defending their reputation by putting the blame on my daughter. They keep calling my husband and I claiming that my daughter was in the wrong. Now my daughter is traumatized and can't focus at school. I'm worried because it's almost final exams. How can I as a parent handle a situation like this without proof clearly showing her doing what she has been accused of doing? Please help us fix this situation before something bad happens. I can't let this haunt my daughter during this stressful time.
