Wrong advertising

Sta soft was marked with promotion tag @ R 54. 99 for 4x500ml. The tag DID NOT specify R 54. 99 per pack. I took 4 x500ml and went to the till point. It scanned R 23. 99 each. I asked the cashier to call the supervisor and when he arrived I explained the situation. He went to the aisle with my husband who also pointed it out to him. The supervisor came back to the till point, and apologised. He then said the price tag said lavender sta soft only whereby I agreed to take the 4 lavender @ R 54. 99. He then remarked that he could not give it to me for that price and I asked to speak to the manager. He left to call the manager but never returned with the manager. At this point I was quite fed up and asked the cashier to void the 4x 500ml sta soft. <br> <br> The supervisor did apologise but the cashier was a bit arrogant. I do not understand the need for false advertising to draw in customers. I worked at a retail store for ten years and my manager always said to me that the price a customer sees marked is the price they should get. <br> <br> We understand that mistakes do happen but I feel that I should have been allowed to purchase the 4x500ml sta soft for R 54. 99 as advertised.
