Worst customer service at Shoprite Silverton
Good day. Today (29 January 2022) I visited Shoprite at Silverton, Pretoria. I was assist by Violet Ngobeni. She was so utterly rude and enkind. I was there for grocery shopping and I had quite a lot of items. She started by asking me how many plastics I would like then I responded by saying that she can put the smaller items and frozen items in the plastic. She kept asking me how many plastics do I want and I just ending up saying that its fine and she can leave the plastics, I will place items in my arms. While scanning the items she mentions that the butternut does not have a price tag. I just kept quiet because I did not know who she was talking to. Upon finishing scanning the items she mentions again that the butternut does not have a price tag and she expects me to fetch it. I have worked in retail for 28 years and I know that customers should not fetch their own price tag from the floor. I even ask one of the cashiers if the customers are allowed to fetch the tag and she said no but she was also rude. A while later the floor controller came and got the price tag for us. I think it wouldn't even have gotten to that point but the way she spoke to me was so rude. Cashiers or any worker for that matter should to treat every customer with respect as much as we respect them. I would advise that your workers to go for customers service training as her and the cashier next to her were both rude. But thanks to the controller because she was the one that helped and the person who was kind to me.
