What happens at Checkers stays at Checkers......until now.

From the eye of the insider. I was employed and dismissed by Shoprite Checkers. This came as a big shock as I am sure being dismissed would be shocking to any dedicated Employee. I satrted off in Checkers Boardwalk, Richards Bay and was employed there for 8 years. Whilst employed here I met and exceeded my monthly goals and GP's. This was a record for this store. I then decided to move to Shoprite (the current divisional Manager (DEAN) was haunting me to go to ine of the Shoprite Store. The biggest mistake of my Life. The Regional Manager Mr. Wessel Willemse just so happened to be the person that would not forward my CV to the relevant parties for employment in the first place was now my Boss. Within a period of less than a month I was dismissed. Dismissal was for a matter that no other person has ever been dismissed for (according to various other regional manageres). I was off when the book was supposed to be completed .... upon looking for evidence to confirm my innocense, the book dissapeared and was kept my Mr. Willemse him self (I contacted my Blokman and he informed me of the same). Mr. Willemse opted to play GOD for what reason? Because of my ***uality or because I am a female or maybe he was affraid that I would take his position or even find things that I am not supposed to find. This happened October, 2024. It is now October, 2025 and not a single retailer would employ me allthough I have a magnitude of experience (more that 35 years ). I even contacted Checkers to see if they would take me back and I was informed that they might consider it after 5 years. I considered Checkers as my "forever" job. Instead i haveto beg and borrow money just to keep my home. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. I NEVER STOLE ANYTHING (NOT EVEN TIME) AND WAS ALWAYS HONEST AND GAVE THEM MY ALL. I could not have a full three weeks leave without doing stock taking on a Monday. Checkers was good to me and my family it is just sad that one regional manager could tarnage such a good compaies reputation. The Divisional Manager "Dean" had absolutely nothing to say. He knows me well and knows the way I work yet had no decency in even issuing a warnign letter. STRAIGHT DISMISSAL.
