What a shame...lack of professionalism

butchered by its staff members, especially the shoprite at Dube Malifele.

The staff are not willing to assist, always chatting with each other and ignoring customers and rude when you ask product related questions. The cashiers are the worst.

On the 28th, I was annoyed by the money market area. They are packed up behind the counter chit chatting, eating behind the till, especially the young lady who apparently is assigned to open up the Money Market Account. She had dreadlocks, I mention this as staff half the time have no name badges.

She was chewing and popping gum, while myself and partner, needed help with the Money Market Account in which we had registered online.

She was half the time, more focused on what was happening next her and her gum. Was not willing much to help with the account. She just added to the frustration and would not care much about the issue. I asked so, why is my account frozen, and what can she do to. She just shrugged her shoulders and kept on with her gum.

We furiously walked off and took my ID. As we walked off, you could hear her saying to her colleagues, " aah, bayahlanya, what do they expect us to do?"

We are still disturbed by this, as knowing that if you ask for the manager, you will be taken from pillar to post from experienced. This was on the 28th of April 2026. Shoprite has not bothered to respond.
