Violated consumer protection act basis
I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding an incident that occurred at your store Shoprite Silverton (Silver Mall)on Saturday 21 at approximately 13:15 pm While attempting to make a purchase, your staff refused to accept my payment due to a perceived oil substance on the money.
I understand that you may have policies regarding the handling of money, but I believe the situation was handled poorly and without due consideration for the circumstances. I was genuinely attempting to make a purchase, and the perceived issue with the money was not due to any fault of my own. Money is one moving entity to which I have pictures of it that they also took and other stores had no problem in accepting it as it was not inked but just oil, maybe from my body as I keep it in my breast for safety security reasons that it has not started today but long been done in an African context...
In all regards all my consumer protection act were violated by all means as stipulated...refusing to take the money I had that other stores to which I immediately went to Ackermans with some of that money that was denied at Shoprite that they happily took and gave me my Mtn R150 voucher paid with the same R200 ( 2 x R100) notes that Shoprite members refused Jabulile whom claimed to be a store manager then later said she was not and called Doris whom I didn't see, whom the notes were taken too as she was still busy at the back with receival of goods and couldn't come in front in the store regardless of the dispute that was there and she also denied my cash...further more went to Roman's pizza to pay again with the left 2x R20 that were also an issue in addition to the other money to get a pizza that they had no problem in servicing me and given what I wanted. As the money didn't have an ink just some oily staff which might be from the fact I keep my notes in my breast for security reasons than in my purse that in an African context that practice of keeping money in the breast has been generational being practiced in our societies...
Does Shoprite only take well, cleaned starched notes only? With no visible Regulations prescribed notes on walls,so we know before going to Silverton Shoprite one needs to go to the bank and exchange their cash that is king in every business besides Shoprite that working on it's solo conditions in a South African constitution in regards to customer care, reserve bank and other constitution revolving the nature...???
What's the use of having *********** managers in store that violate the customer services and less information revolving cash and resolving petty issues in store...
Not to mention the time on my side that was wasted and ended up being costly to myself in that regards,to which if visible Quality Cash Assurance policy as to Shoprite Silverton were made visible to all clients to see I wouldn't have wasted my time and went else where to make my shopping. I have all the pictures of the money in question and receipts from other stores I bought from with the same money that Shoprite refused... I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
