Urgent Attention Needed Regarding Unprocessed Pension Funds for Long-Serving Employees

Dear [Shoprite Management] I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the unacceptable treatment of long-serving employees at Shoprite, particularly with respect to the pension fund processing for my mother(Selinah Kedibone Lekhoaba ID ***), who has been a loyal employee for 27 years at Shoprite Welkom store. Despite her dedicated service as a casual worker for nearly three decades, Shoprite has failed to grant her and her colleagues permanent contracts now that they are on pension Shoprite is now giving them problems with processing their pension fund. My mother officially retired in August 2024, but her pension has yet to be processed. Each time she contacts the head office, she is told that they have not received her documents. When she visits the store, she is repeatedly informed that her documents will be sent again, yet the issue remains unresolved. This ongoing frustration is not unique to her; many other long-serving employees face the same delay and lack of assistance. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of care and urgency from a company that has benefited from the hard work and loyalty of these employees for so many years. These employees, including my mother, deserve the dignity and respect of receiving the pension funds they have rightfully earned after decades of service. I urge Shoprite to take immediate action to resolve this matter and ensure that all pending pension funds are processed without further delay. It is unacceptable for loyal employees to be left in limbo and forced to repeatedly follow up with little to no progress. Our parents have given their best years to this company, and it is only fair that they are treated with the respect they deserve in their retirement. Please address this issue promptly and ensure that all affected employees receive the compensation they have worked hard for.

I used Hellopeter as I don’t know where to escalate this matter if no response received then I will also try social media.

Please call Selinah Lekhoaba on *** and do justice to her.

Thank you.
