Unhygenic Crumbed chicken fillets
My wife and I was at Checkers East Rand retail park on the 25th of January 2020 to do our weekly shopping. We bought Crumbed Chicken fillets and I specifically looked at the BB date before I placed it in the Trolly. The BB date was 07/02/2020 . Only my wife ate of the fillets and 10 minutes after she ate she developed severe abdominal pain and Nausea, she was so sick and vomited the whole night through, I had to rush her to emergencies at Glynnwood Hospital where she had to get a drip and blood tests was done by the Dr on duty. We had to pay R 1000 admission fee and and R 977 Hospital bill followed after the hospitalization, I have send a email on the morning of the admission (26/01/2020) to Checkers
It’s my responsibility to look after my wife but I feel that it’s Checkers responsibility to pay for any Dr fees because it is caused by the low quality food that Checkers sell, and it’s stated that the chicken was still okay to eat.
CLEARLY you can see that the chicken is not a normal colour at all! So Checkers came back to us with a R 50 voucher which is a joke because in fact we are the ones loosing because of the filth they sell. They had appointed Marsh Brokers to attend to the matter and they came back and said they will not pay for any financial loss because according to them the bloodtests done is not sufficient. I explained to them the whole situation in detail with a 48 hour breakdown of what my wife consumed before the Chicken.
This billion rand company want everyones financial support by buying their goods but when it comes to their support to consumers , it’s none existent.
