Unfair treatment

I have a complaint I need to lodge against Shoprite at Pretoria near Bloed Mall. My niece(20yrs) was arrested yesterday afternoon at the shop claiming that she had ****** a bottle of water, which according to her and her friend they were doing shopping and my niece was thirsty and feeling dizzy then she took a small bottle of water from the fridge and drank then her phone rang and she put the bottle down answering the call and forgot about the water. They continued with shopping and they paid for what they had in the basket having forgotten about that bottle of water, the security at the door stopped them and thats when she remembered about the water bottle and when she tried to explain what happened the security guard by the name of Obed Makwela refused to listen to her and accused her of *****ing whereas she wanted to go back and pay for the bottle she had innocently forgotten and even the manager at the shop refused to listen to her. The security guard didn't even want to listen to her friend who was doing shopping with her and chased her out of the shop. They took pictures of her with that bottle of water accusing her of shoplifting while they called the police for her. She was taken by the police whereby she spent the whole day in a cell like a ******** since around 2:00 in the afternoon while the police were busy calling the manager(Portia Motaung/Thandeka Kunene/Hlengiwe Sithole) at the shop to come and give all the details which the manager refused to go and provide. My niece spent the whole night standing in the police cell traumatized whereas more information could not be provided for her arrest. Now today my mom and sister had to spend the whole day in court today while waiting for the case that did not have concrete proof and also had to pay for the lawyer for a case that was even dismissed. My niece's rights were violated over something that was not intentional, a mere bottle of water costing R6.99 which on realizing that she forgot to pay for was refused to pay. Today the manager there by the name of Donald Mabusela claims that the footage which they refused to show to the police yesterday shows that my niece was denying that she had drank the water. Their(security and managers) statements are completely different. Who is going to pay for all the trouble they have put my niece as well as my family as well as the costs for something like this.
