Traumatized Customers

Yesterday morning at 9:53 I went to Shoprite Retreat Main Road & then as I am approaching the door the security guard tells me that the Manager wants to see me & obviously I was like what's going on I paid for all my stuff. Then I ask him why does the Manager want to see me & obviously he doesn't answer just keeps repeating that the Manager wants to see me. And I am with my son & my nephew of 12 years old, we get taken to the back like we are ********* and I can see the kids are scared cause we all feel like as if we did something wrong! We go to the back and get taken to the room where there is a security sitting ,NOT A MANAGER and the security guard tells me that my nephew sprayed some deo on him Isn't it normal to test before you buy? Then I ask and....? She says I need to pay for the deo! I was like I am not doing that cause you guys pull us to the back as if we stole something which we never! Then the sales manager gets called to sort out the situation. As we are waiting , a medium height stubby man with grey hair & glasses walks in , with a very arrogant body language comes to the back. Then as I looked around I see my son and nephew standing there and they look like they are about to cry and me panicking cause these kids looked traumatized! The manager insist that we need to pay and what lesson am I teaching the kids .And then I told him these are kids and they need to put up signed to let the people know that you are not allowed to test or spray the deco or you will be taken to the back and treated like ******* ! And then the Manager says he doesn't have to do that it's obvious you can't test! Then he tries to scare me and says a case needs to be open and I told him he can go ahead with the case cause I don't see what wrong was done. And the security guard says what must she do cause the child is underage. Seeing that he can't scare me into paying the deo and he then says that we are band from Shoprite which I tell him it's fine and as I am about to walk the security guard holds me nephew back because I refuse to sign some paper saying that I am band from Shop rite. And I told her not to touch him cause she is not allowed to. So now I have two kids that are traumatized by this whole situation and after my son kept on asking me what they did wrong cause the never stole anything. Who gives them the right to treat people like that. How do you know the rules , if they don't put them up and make it clear to people that you are it allowed to do things or else there are consequences to doing things. I am disgusted at how we were treated yesterday! I would like Shoprite Head Office to look into this matter. Now I have to seek counselling for my son & m nephew. What lesson are they trying to teach them, it's ok just to scare kids and then they should be fine!
