Train staff and managers on how to handle customers
Good day
I would like to bring to your attention to train the staff including the managers at Shoprite - Ke Ya Rona on how to handle their customers without attitude and embarrassing them in front of other people. I would also would appreciate if i can see your terms and conditions regarding dress code when entering any shoprite store. I walked into shoprite store wearing my tracksuit pyjamas, with a long gown, the only visible skin was my face and hands. I went to get food by the food station, two staff managers or supervisors were standing there also getting food. I was number 4 in line on the que. Suddenly they walk like 'medams' in the store, i assume i was going to be reported. Hardly 5 minutes after they walked away, a security woman approached me and asked me to leave the store because my pyjamas and gown are not allowed in the store and i refused to leave without purchasing. How ridiculous is that? I was treated as though i am a *****, i stole something. Everybody's attention was on me because a security woman approached me. I feel those two staff supervisors or managers, at least one could of called me to the side and talked to me. Next thing i am followed till the till to make payment, and when i got there all eyes from the managers desk is on me. I get to the door, i hear they are talking about me on the micro phone, shouting at the security guy, 'How the hell did that person enter the store' that the attitude on the micro phone, referring to me. I dont understand what their problem is. But i did not like the manner i was approached and how the situation was handled. They behaved like a bunch of high school kids instead of addressing the issue in a respectable polite manner.
