Terrible service

The following happened at the Shoprite Riverwalk branch in Potchefstroom. On 30 July 2020 at about 10h30 I asked for 2 cream doughnuts at the baking counter; there were multiple doughnuts on display. The person serving me told me very nonchalantly that the doughnuts are not fresh. “So you are taking them home this afternoon”, I remarked. He said yes and that was end of story; no doughnuts available to me. My issues are: 1. Why aren’t there fresh doughnuts available at 10h30 in the morning? 2. Why should the so-called old doughnuts (which looked perfectly fine to me) still be on display? 3. Why was I treated as something the cat dragged in?
