Terrible

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this email with deep frustration and disappointment regarding the appalling treatment I received from the manager at Shoprite Ndofaya Mall in Soweto.

On a previous visit, the manager refused to touch the store door, claiming it was dirty, and demanded that I open it for her. When I questioned why I should be expected to touch a door she herself deemed unclean, she retaliated by instructing security not to allow me into the store ever again. I did not argue or raise my voice I simply asked a valid question. Yet I was treated with utter disrespect.

The situation escalated further on November 3rd, 2025, when I entered the store to buy bread. The same manager blatantly told me to leave and instructed the cashiers not to serve me. This behaviour was not only offensive but shockingly unprofessional and demeaning.

The cashiers are employees of Shoprite, not her personal staff, and they are there to serve paying customers not to follow her personal vendettas.

I am a loyal customer who spends my hard-earned money at Shoprite, and I refuse to be treated like I am worthless. The manager’s sense of entitlement and abuse of power is unacceptable. She does not own Shoprite she is an employee like everyone else and should be held accountable for her actions.

I will be escalating this matter to Hello Peter, local newspapers, and radio stations. I will not tolerate being treated with such disrespect and disregard. Shoprite must take immediate action to address this disgraceful conduct.
