Short staffed on a busy day and zero care from manager

My local Shoprite in Charlesville Montana has become the worst especially in busy times (Grant days/pay days). Today there are 7 till points closed and the store is soo full that the time on the queue is over an hour or more. Upon speaking to the manager regarding many closed till point at a time this like this? He said there is nothing they can do, as the store is an 8am-8pm store, therefore only half the cashiers can work at a time. Besides the issue of the cashier, the small degrading turnstiles are closed at 7pm, meaning you now need to walk all the way to the back and then to the front. How is this human? This is isolated to this Shoprite too.
