Shoprite’s bad customer service

This afternoon I went to Shoprite at Soshanguve Crossing. Upon arrival my mom and I noticed that the queues were long. We didn’t think much of it. We took the items we had came to purchase and stood in line to pay. We stood there for a couple of minutes and we noticed that the queue wasn’t moving. My mom tried to check for a shorter queue but there were none. As we moved closer to the till the cashier decided to go “somewhere”. We stood there for about 15 minutes, waiting for her. I then went to the managers’ desk only to find another employee who referred me to the Customer service clerk. When I told the customer service clerk that we had been waiting for the cashier for a long time and that we had been standing in the queue for almost an hour, she made excuses for her claiming that she is making a “pick up”. I then returned to the queue and waited for a few more minutes until my mom and I decided to leave the store. Shoprite’s service in the townships is very poor. Their employees know nothing about customer service! To make it worse the managers do nothing about it instead they encourage that bad behavior.
