Shoprite Sea Point Be aware! Now that Shoprites algorithms via their supposed 'Xtra Savings' card have kicked in, their prices change daily. Tell me what business negotiates with a supplier whose prices change daily? Shoprite will take a product with a regular price of say R19.99, mark it up to R25.99 (30%) and then offer a 'Special X Saving' to R21.99 (15%). So even though you are supplying them with all the data they need to manipulate their prices even more, you are paying 10% more for your product. DON'T USE AN XTRA SAVINGS CARD - IT IS COSTING US ALL MORE! Shoprite Sea Point has a new manager! So by moving everything around she thinks her managers might be impressed. The trolleys and baskets that used to be near the entrance of the shop have been replaced with a stand of high mark-up chocolates and you have to go deeper into the shop and find the trolleys. The brown bread is now next to the frozen foods fridge, the confectionery specials are in the fresh produce section, the ready made cold soup is near the exit and the microwave used to warm it has been removed... etc etc. Changes are supposed to be for the better!
