Shoprite refusing to SELL with the displayed PRICE
I went to buy a kettle at Lansdown Shoprite in Cape town. There was an Ottimo kettle on the shelve, it was the only opened ottimo kettle from where it was standing. The displayed price was R179. Took the kettle and went to purchase. As I was outside checked my receipt and the kettle was not R350. Spoke wit the manager and his name is THERON. He told me it might have been the customer who placed the kettle on that price tag and he will reprimand he staff. He told me the store was busy over the weekend. He gave me excusses.
THERON even refused to give me his name, saying that people always want his name.
The cashiers told me what his name was.
Other things I've noticed at this store. Most items did not have prices on them.
Theron did confirm that the pricing should be displayed in a manner that doesn't confuse a client wanting to purchase.
He told me the kettle that I took was no more as the kettle i. The box was a revamped model of the display kettle. Again this is not my problem they wrongfully displayed with an outdated model.
I still don't have my kettle that I wanted to pay with a price I saw on display.
I also took picture as proof.
