Shoprite Poor Service
Today 6/10/2020 I went to Shoprite in Pelican Park to purchase water and pay a traffic fine. The queues at the money market was quite long. I went to a manager to check before I stand in the queue if I can pay the traffic fine there. He confirmed and my long wait to freedom began. Managers were walking up and down ,the queue at the market just grow longer and longer. Only one cashier attended to the money market at that time. After for about an hour I was finally in the front of the queue and to my surprise another cashier was sent to assist customers. I got to cashier and she told me that my payment cannot be processed. I requested her to call the manager who confirm that it could be paid. She just ignored me and explain regarding a reference number and gave my documents back. I stormed out of the shop, livid because I just wasted a hour in a queue that was not necessary. I just the Shoprite complaints website and saw numerous of complaints regarding the money market at different stores. Seems like an ongoing problem that is not being addressed. Managers should learn to get their hands dirty and fall in where operations are required
