Shoprite Phoenix plaza durban. Worst place to think of shopping

I had the most hoorinle experience clever at the shoprite in the Phoenix plaza on heritage day. I went to visit family and needed a few things before I went home. My niece and I decided to go to shoprite in the Phoenix plaza. We both had on our masks. I have a baby who is just over 1 year. My niece entered before me n as I was walking in the guard and another lady stopped me and refused me entry because my baby did not have a mask on. For God's sake she is under 2. Her lungs are still developing. I tried to explain that to them but they said its their rules made by the manager. I was shocked. They went on to say that she has to have a mask on her face to enter. Really? As f at as I know the law, kids from 3 and up need wear a mask. Are they trying to kill my baby? I asked for the manager to come out. While waiting I saw many ppl walk out of shoprite after paying carrying their baby's with no masks on!!! I will never shop there ever again and I have lodged a formal complaint. This is ridiculous!!!!!! I had to wait outside while my niece did mine her her shopping. In the whole chaos my baby got so traumatized she cried till my niece was done and other customers saw what happened and were shocked as well at the staff and management. I will make this viral. I his is just the beginning. Shoprite need to educate their staff properly. Not the managers make their own laws!!!!
