Shoprite Mamaila forcing customers to swipe Xtra Savings card to make a purchase.

There is a very serious issue at Shoprite Mamaila where customers are being forced to swipe the Xtra savings card to make a purchase, without the card the customers are being refused to proceed with the purchase. On the 17th February 2024 I brought the matter to the attention of Shoprite management by witting to them on Facebook and I received feedback that the matter has been brought to the attention of the regional manager who addressed the issue with branch management and staff. On the 22nd March 2024 a customer was refused to make a MoneyMarket withdrawal because they did not have Xtra Savings card, I again referred the matter to management and no feedback was received. On the 15th May 2024 I was purchasing a single item that is not even on Xtra Savings sale and I was persistently forced or I will not make the purchase. The cashier was so rude and disrespectful in the process. Below the previous communication that was sent to Shoprite:

Without the card the customer is not allowed to pay for the items. Is this not non compliance to CPA? It was highlighted by some shoprite staff that management forces them to ensure that the extra savings card is swiped at every purchase otherwise they face consequence management. This has resulted in unnecessary long queues at Shoprite and that leads to time wasting for consumers. Please look into this matter.

A cashier by the name of Sewela persistently with utter disrespect refused to assist me to buy a single item that is not even on extra savings sale. I informed the manager by the name Olpha and he intervened to see why I am being refused to purchase and to my surprise she still refused in front of the manager again very persistent that she will not help me. The manager then requested Sewela the cashier to apologise and she refused. Olpha the manger is aware of this situation as it was raised before with him and it has come to my attention that he promotes this behaviour since he gave the same excuse he gave the last time to say that: "The cashier comes from the main store" whereas the same issue was raised in the main store. I even reported this matter right here on this platform on the 22nd May 2024 and no feedback was received. If it is compulsory for customers to use their Xtra savings card to make a purchase why is it not on public platform or is this the terms and conditions of every purchase at Shoprite?
