Shoprite KG Mall meat wasn't fresh

I bought meat at Shoprite on the 02/11/2021 from the display fridges only for me to realize when I got home that it had a pungent smell. Long story short I froze it thinking it was defrosted only for me to cook it today 03/11/2021 and get a strong whiff that it wasn't fresh. I won't take the risk of cooking it and possibly getting food poisoning or salmonella. Please assist with either a refund or exchange for fresher meat.
