Title: Shoprite Goodwood – Values Contradicted by Horison Trolleys Complaint: At Shoprite Goodwood, Horison Trolleys staff intimidated my wife and me because we do not tip, despite guards being salaried. Manager Michael shouted at my wife, swore at me in public, and threatened to “F me up,” even implying ******** ties. This was done in full view of customers while wearing Horison-branded clothing, bringing the company name into disrepute.

Shoprite Head Office assured me the guards would be removed and disciplined, but they continue working as before. This makes me look like a fool and shows that customers can be defamed without consequence.

This is contrary to Shoprite’s stated values of putting customers first. In reality, they are proving that they prioritize car guards over customers. As a Six Sigma Expert and NPO leader, I raise constructive criticism for improvement, not complaints. The root issue is tipping — guards should not be allowed to accept tips if they are salaried.

This is a reputational risk and a public relations nightmare for Shoprite and Horison Trolleys.
