Shoprite Eastlyn is a ****
On Wednesday 03 Jan 2024 I went to Shoprite in Eastlyn to buy a plushtoy unicon with rainbow that I've seen two weeks ago it was still marked down to R39.99. When I got to the till the cashier scanned the original barcode that scanned R99.99, As I walked out after paying I realised and came back, I was sent to the Sales manager on duty Neol who came to me after a few minuted and said they mistakenly stapeled an incorrect price on the toy so they can't sell it to me for the markdown price. I told him it is not my mistake that they have stapelled an incorrect price on the toy and it is also not my fault that the toy has been like that for the past two weeks I have been coming to the store and seeing it like that. They can check their cameras I have been there 3 times in the past two weeks and checked the toy marked down. He then said he needs 2 minutes to consult with his supervisors and came back in less than 2min and told me they're refusing. I asked for a refund and told him I will report him. As a customer I have to pay for what I see is placed on an item. I want shoprite to respond and tell me hownis this supposed to be resolved! I took a picture of the toy and my till slip.
