Shoprite Berea Center Durban. Stay Away!

Shoprite Berea Center- the place that frustrates me each and every time I visit there. This place is a minute away from home and so its where I shop most. Over the years I have complained about numerous issues with this store. Nothing ever changes. They are set in their uncaring ways. Tonight I'd purchased an 8kg bag of mighty bite clearly marked R89.99 and I was ********** once again when I was charged R99.99 at the till. I keep all my slips to check once home as this is a regular occurrence. Previously I'd had the same problem and I'd called in to complain to the manager as I was too exhausted to go back into the store and the item price was changed to what I was charged by the time I my husband went up to them. The staff at this store are pathetic and have a don't care attitude. They take ages to go about doing anything to assist you as if you have all day to waste in that store. It's so frustrating to have to shop there and further infuriating when you need to go back to get a refund due to the prices on the shelves not matching the products on sale. This store has had all the managers and even the store manager changed yet still the same issues are present. R10 is a lot of money to me. Most times I don't complain or go ask for a refund because of the time it would take and patience to tolerate some of those stupid people that would stare at you blankly because they don't understand what you are saying or what you need. During the month they have extra staff. Cashiers and packers to assist the few customers, yet when it is month end the same packers are now on tills and they expect you to pack your own items. They are so rude they actually fling your items and let them pile up. Then they start pushing through the next customers items and then you are in a panic to quickly get your stuff and get out of there. The express tills are always long and customers go there with several baskets way more than 10 items which the cashier allows. The shelves are always full of items that prices have not been updatedand you have to be careful of what you buy as they have on shelf items past best before date. These are just a few of their countless problems which is why each time I visit that store I have to think and weigh the risk and options, do the calculations of how much I'd be saving thoroughly in my mind before chancing it. I'm super tired of this place and also of complaining.
