Shoprite Bad Customer Experience
Imagine walking in a Shoprite store in Botshabelo (Reahola complex) to collect cash that has been send to you and then you are asked if you have a rewards card and you answered No. The cashier has your ID, scans it and then ask you for your cellphone number thinking that they are processing what you are there for. The next moment the cashier scans a rewards card for you without asking if you want the card or not. What are you doing? I'm giving you a rewards card. But I didn't say I want the card. Yes but we are told it's a must for everyone who comes to buy here to have this card. Then an argument ensues and it reminds you of how rude their staff is. The money that you are about to collect has been paid for (R9,99) and all of a sudden you must take their card if you want to get the money. Instead of Shoprite telling their employees how to manage long queues and improve customer service, they are actively harming their own reputation by telling their employees to shove these cards down our throats. We are having enough of stress and nonsense in this country and they are just putting extra strain on our shopping experience. They must just stop this nonsense.
