I have had such a tumultuous time with the Shoprite chain in Cape Town. First I was accused of theft from the Shoprite store in Mowbray, Cape Town to which the findings were that those were egregious claims and that I was infact targeted and framed. Now the animosity has further translated to the subsidiary brands of this store, namely OK Mart in Kloof Street, Cape Town. The store clerks are incredibly audacious, ranging from staring at me whilst I shop, keeping my receipts at whim and today I just got done having a screaming match with a recent hire who started by making a show about not having the correct change in her till. When I called her to caution and told her that Im not in the mood for her to faff around she then proceeded to stare at me and make my check out experience tedious. At which point I called her to order again and she developed the gall to have a screaming match with me. Then I told her that I was the customer and there is a certain level of decorum that needs to be adhered to. Its truly ingratiating to have to go through this strife and at this point I feel as though I am being targeted because other people don’t get this treatment. I need this clerk to be called to order and for this treatment toward me to come to an end.
