Service Improvement

Went into Shop rite Mount Ayliff yesterday 14th March 2019. Now I normally I buy bones for my dogs at Shop rite. Yesterday I chose two packs of bones with a pack of pork cutlets. When I got to the till the cashier standing with floor Manager asked to have the price of the pork cutlets checked because it was quiet a large pack and the price was R 10.95(I recon she was suspicious over the price). I informed the cashier that I will not accept any other price as you pay for what is displayed. Floor Manger comes back and starts to negotiate with me ,if I was happy with the price. By now this is the third time she walks away to have the price adjusted. Whilst all of this is happening I must stand and wait for the 3 trips up and down , customers at the other tills wondering what has happened. I decided to pay and on my way out meet the Floor Manager approaches me again making an offer for the third time. By now I am fed up and said "thank you" to her because it was never a chase of me wanting to debate or negotiate the price. I wanted to pay for what it is being priced as - as the amount was never an issue with me in the first instance. My question is ? What is the Shop rite policy on marked items which are to sold ? If the selling price is incorrect on the item being purchased why should the customer be taken through a negotiation process by the Manager ? What is Shop rite check and balance system requirements ? Are Managers informed regarding the rights of the consumer ? Mount Ayliff being such a rural underdeveloped community ,how does this type of behavior impact the retail sales ? This incident could have been taken out of context ,what would the repercussions be to the image of such a huge retail stores ? What market is this Shop rite intending to target if such behavior is tolerable ? Does it mean that the interaction- recorded whilst this was taking place needs to be uploaded on Social media platforms to harm the image of the company by individuals who lack train at Mount Ayliff Shop rite ? No, I am going to shop at Shop rite /Mount Ayliff and if needs be I will route out such intolerable behavior by means of utilizing such media to expose unwarranted events which can be prevented in the future.
