Second degree burns from flask

I bought a flask last year at vasco shoprite. I only used it twice. I filed it up with hot water on Sunday to take hot water down for a braai. In the lifts where there are cameras the flask broke and landed on my leg spilling boiling water on it. I was in extreme pain. I've been to the doctor and had to buy medication and bandages all in all spent over R1000 on doctors and medication. I'm disgusted that an unsafe product was sold and just lucky that the burns could have been worse.
