Rude security

On the 4th of October 2023 I was in Shoprite in Hartswater. I was there to get SASSA money for me elderly mother. I queued there at 08h57 to be precise and the queue just wasn’t moving. Only to hear whispers that the security was taking R50.00 bribes from clients that were there to get their SASSA monies to jump the queue.

My main complaint is when I stepped away from the queue to peep how far I am from being assisted the security Jacko spoke to me in a tone I did not not appreciate. He said: “go back in the line. I am the security here you can't be standing here. When they see you there, they going to say I am not doing my job.” oh but excuse me. Aren't you the one that was taking bribes from people so they can jump the line? Is that part of the job? Hauw shocked.

Fine fast forward to the time I get assisted it was 14h00 in the afternoon. But I got there at 08h57. It was RIDICULOUS. When I reported to the manager on duty that day she just said she'd talk to him Jacko the security about the manner he handled the incident. I truly hope she did.
