Rude Cashier Behaviour

I am writing to formally complain about the poor conduct of a cashier named Vutivi at Shoprite -Jacaranda mall on the 04 September 2026 at 16h43.

While I was paying at the till, another customer was behind me. As I moved my items closer to the till point, the cashier pushed them away in a rude manner. When I pointed out that she had pushed my items away and that they were now being pushed toward her, she made a big scene in front of the other customer, who also seemed confused as to why she was reacting this way.

I asked her not to exchange words with me, but she continued to argue on and on, showing no regard for professionalism or courtesy. The other customer did not understand what was happening, as there also appeared to be a language barrier, so I had to explain to them that they had done nothing wrong. Despite this, the cashier persisted, and the situation became increasingly uncomfortable. The other customer ended up leaving the till point and going to another one.

This cashier displayed a complete lack of customer service, professionalism and basic manners. I believe she requires retraining on how to engage with customers appropriately, as this behaviour is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the store.

I trust this matter will be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
