Rotten meat

Did my groceries today & bought meat . When I got home I took out the chicken drumets I bought at shoprite bulut whole was washing it , it had a funny smell & thought it was me maybe. Cooked it and after like 5minutes the smell got really bad & my kitchen was full of flies. I did put them in a plastic & took the chicken back . Am so disappointed in shoprite . We already scared n careful about what we take in cause of Listeriosis and then this . Who knows who else bought the meat and if they will survive .
