Poor Quality control

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent purchase I made on 03 April 2026 through Shoprite Sixty60. I ordered a 12.5kg bag of Power Maize Meal, only to discover today, on 12 April 2026, that the product had already expired.

What is even more concerning is that the maize meal is in a completely unacceptable condition. This clearly indicates that the product was not fit for consumption at the time it was delivered.

Unfortunately I no longer have the packaging. This has resulted in a financial loss of R140, which is significant for me as a single parent.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and has caused inconvenience, as we now have to rely on alternative food like bread. I am disappointed that proper quality checks, especially regarding expiry dates, were not conducted before dispatching the product.

I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and a resolution provided. I also urge you to improve your quality control processes to prevent similar incidents from affecting other customers.
