poor management / bad attitude from staff

I went to shoprite liquor store on Saturday with the intention to buy alcohol for a wedding as I had friends who were invited to my sisters wedding , I got a hold of gentlemen who asked if he could help me , and I was happy to ask him to please help as I needed 48 beers , a box is 24 so I needed him to help me carry them to the till , very rude and extremely he told me straight up that he wouldn't do that if I wanted anything from the fridges I would have to fetch it myself , at first I though It was the stores regulation but was eager to know why he was so rude to me , he rep**** he is sick and he will not go into the fridges to assist any of his customers , I got worried and called the manager and explained to him the same thing he said yes he is sick we cant help you mam , I am worried if he was even the manager at all , cause I told him I am walking out of your store without making the initial sale and you don't have the problem with that in fact you are giving me more attitude than you staff. , if this guy was sick at all what was he doing at work , why couldn't the so called manager then assist , why the attitude when speaking to your customer .
