Poor customer service and Incompetency is an understatement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How does a professional keep his cool whilst writing what I'm expecting to write, due to the incompetency of staff ,seniors by the way, notwithstanding and not limited to their lack of training and ignorance towards the consumer protection act. Here is me and my wife's horrible experience at the mentioned Shoprite. I urge whoever in Mithells Plain area who is reading this;to start boycotting Shoprite. They are a bunch of idiots with Supervisory and Managerial titles;that remains only as" TITLES" = No weight attached to it.Just a flippen badge pinned to a shirt. Here goes:
On the 18/09/'17 my wife and I went to buy some items at Shoprite., since we just bought a property in the area. We bought what we call the usuals and decided to buy two ****in pans that was on the shelf , marked R19,99 below the item, had the exact description of the item above it which read Milini 6cup ****in pan.I will attach photos. Got to the till point where the cashiers ran such a racket in their loud speech over one another and ignoring their customers. It gave me a conclusion that you get bad customer service and below that you get such cashiers. Anyway started scanning and when it came to the ****in pan it had no barcodes and was told to me and my wife in front of other customers that the price was R30 and not R19,99 as indicated on the barcode. I demanded to pay what was displayed and then the supervisor was called to assist. Wow, another stupid called to rescue the rest . She and the cashier accompanied me to the isle where the pans were displayed and the price was still on the shelve. My GOD......can you believe it that whilst the hard proof of their incompetence was staring them in the eyes, I was further embarrassed and argued with about their fault in front of more customers in that isle,notwithstanding the fact that my poor wife whos a medical professional that still had to go work,was waiting like an idiot at the till points,and was being frowned upon by customers in the Que as the one holding up the till.
So after being harshly denied the price AND exact description we saw, we had to leave because the supervisor just left me standing there and left. I'm in Legal and my professionalism and intelligence was so insulted that I actually become dumb struck. The ****in mix we bought at this Shoprite to try out the pans is still in our cupboard but I am so ****ed right now that as soon as I'm done here,I'm going to toss it in the bin.I urge people especially our muslims not to support this Shoprite.
Questions started popping: was it because I was colored or muslim, was it because I am not white and if so maybe I would've gotten the "ja meneer" and "nee meneer " responses....?????? Its no wonder the Town Center people is starting to frequent Boxer more and more. Me and my wife is next and I will tell everybody I know and meet and my wife will do the same. You are an embarrassment for the words "Customer Services and Customer care"
