i never been so humiliated like this in my life i went to usave ShopRite in bara central to buy bread today afternoon after work when i got to the line i received an important call so i attended to it as i was with my colleague so i took out R50 in my wallet and paid and received change and throw it inside my bag went out the store still on the phone after hanging up i remember receiving change of R20 and two coins so i decided to open my bag and check it i found EXCATLY R25,50 and immediately went straight to the till and i politey show her my change that it short she rudely said i gave you all you change there is no such who said you should me on the phone when you pay maybe it fell down somewhere i will give that R10 even though i know i gave search your bag and let see i open the bag and removed everything in from of customer like i stole something then she took out R10 of coins and throw them on top of the till and continued assisting other customer i said it better we view camera she said i must take R10 and go because she is giving me i refused not after so much humiliation i asked the store manager she ignored me only to find out the manager is standing there watching everything without acting so i went to ask him am looking for manager he says your looking at him i tell him before i even go far he calls another lady at the till to please borrow him R10 then he hands it out to me i told him i need to see camera so that someone takes accountability he say see camera for R10 i said yes it my money the cashiers claims she given me which is untrue so he says they need to call Pretoria if we need to view them and it costs money ok if money is the problem i will pay he asks me that the only reason i came all the way is for the R10 so his giving it back to me he doesnt understand my problem so the cashiers or the manager wont apologies he says that the cashier is at work and he cant stop her from working and come to apologies to me his doing that already by giving me my money back even after another customer came to advise him how to handle it as she works at checkers he says never he does things different there so i left without that R10 because it was not about it was about accountability and acknowledgement if there was a misunderstanding and i thought the cameras in store are to protect both the company and the consumers but only to find out it works against us only for the store benefits today yes it was R10 who knows how much it will be next time because honestly the store manager took my complaint very lightly because it was not millions so basically the store doesn't have a manager because all he did was defend and avoid my concerns i still need to see that camera or do i need to open a case of theft because that what it is should i be bring police to assist me because it cant work that way what it a person gets to your store and *****s R10 chocolate police comes and intervene and evidence and viewed on camera then when your customer looks for answers and clarity about what happened they treated like ********* i hope to get proper closure here usave bara central cashier anah machebe the manager no name tag but he said his mangaliso or something
