Pathetic Service

Went to shoprite to buy a few things, looked for a specific chocolate " 5 star", I wasnt able to find it then I asked one of the employees packing the rack at the express till, she just said check the chocolate aisle and continued to chat with her colleague, walked all the way to the chocolate aisle but found nothing. Then I asked one the employees at the chocolate aisle and she told me its that the fruit and veg section which is where the express till is , just to find nothing again, "IRRITATED". Asked the lady who is also employed there and she bluntly told me to go ask someone else. When I asked another employee , he told me his only there for 2weeks. I was highly irritated and asked him to get me a manager. He got a controller to come n talk to me, having me follow her around to look for the chocolate. I gave up and bought something, the LAST ITEM I'LL EVER BUY AT SHOPRITE.

As I walked to leave shoprite the branch manager Brandon Vollentine stopped me as one the employees told him I was looking for him. After I explained what happened he asked if i knew their names, told him but i know their faces. Then he gave me a pathetic apology and said he will have a staff meeting. The way he spoke didnt give me the impression that he would be doing anything about what i said.

Half an hour of my lunch spent talking to staff that doesn't have a clue as to what actual CUSTOMER SERVICE is. Cape Town has many supermarkets that people can buy their essentials from, they dont have to go to shoprite, doesnt seem as though they appreciate their customers. At the rate shoprite is going in terms of the level of service , the will loose their customers results in their doors closing.

I have no intention of ever buying anything at shoprite adderely again, I will rather go to pnp ' as they actually know what customer service is.
