Parcel counter horrific service

On Sunday the 27th August my husband and I went to shoprite to try and get a few groceries. My husband had a backpack with a bottle if wine. The lady working at the parcel counter never greeted us, she just asked us what was in the bag. My husband and I felt very annoyed that you can't ask customers what's in their belongings, it's private. We told her that there was a bottle of wine and again to our surprise, she refused to assist us with our bag. What I don't understand is that you can't take in baggage to the shop, yet they don't wanna keep it for you on their parcel counter!! Its messed up, its horrific, shoprite is just selling rotten chicken and bad service!! Guess where we ended up going where we found assistance? Pick 'n pay in the same complex. No questions asked, we were helped in no time and no questions asked about our baggage. Thank you pick 'n pay.
