Old stock still on shelves!

Bought a 1kg yoghurt this past Sunday and it expired on 28 September, how can they place something on the shelves that expires the next day. I didn't bother checking the date because I didn't expect to find old stock still on the shelves. It's ridiculous. It's still unopened. Waste of money!
