No cashiers at express tills.

I've tried sending reviews directly to Shoprite Lenasia, but nobody seems to care about the deplorable service. Every time I need to get something at this shop, it's usually out of desperation and I regret it every time. Without fail, there is never anyone to assist at the express counter. I wonder why this service is offered, without actually having a teller there to assist. With our last experience, the cashier was assisting staff purchases, and we were told there wasn't anyone there to assist us, and we had to join the normal queues, which were busy. We had 3/4 items in our basket. When I asked why we could not be helped, the supervisor who was sitting there said that the other cashiers had not reported for work as yet. But there were other staff just standing around, and the cashier, who was helping only staff at that point. We've tried to report bad service to the Manager on numerous occasions, but I think that he has no control there. The supervisors there seem to control everything. I don't think I can ever go back there, unless tge current management team can be changed. I've had enough.
