New recruit cashiers at Shoprite Noordgesig, Soweto, seem to be poorly trained as they fall short of customer etiquette. Recently, Sthembiso, whisked me to an adjacent cashier because he wanted to continue having a casual chat with a customer. I refused flatly, which he jokingly dismissed. To add insult to injury he then had playful banter with his supervisor whilst processing my purchases. He is not the only culprit as customers are now frequently exposed to crude conversations between staff, while paying for groceries. Please remedy this deteriorating state of affairs asap.
