Negligence, Negligence and no remotes at all
On the 03/04/2019 I went to usave palmridge to get a few things as it's walking distance from my house, I always go there. I got in the aisle told my son to que for me as the shop was abit busy. Thank God I asked him too cause this horror could've happened to me. As I walk down the aisle after taking a box of powder milk on my left. I just felt a bash on the right side of my head as a balk bag of mielie meal or flower fell on my head from the shelf to my right that a guy was packing while customers are shopping. For a moment I thought I broke my neck. I was so dizzy I had to stand for a while to get by. The guy was nice tried to help me but I was dizzy and didn't want to be touched. I walk away and tried to continue shopping but I couldn't, I called my son from the que and left the shop without reporting the insident. I got home and took 2 pain ****ers as the pain started. 3hours later I couldnt do a thing because of the back pain I experienced. I went back to the store, 04/04/2019 and guess what the same guy at the same shelf was packing again, mind you there is minimal room in those aisles already. I asked him to call his manager as I wanted to report the insident, he asked if I was ok, I told him bout the pain and he advised that we go to his manager as he told her yesterday what happen. She came to talk to me and kept on telling me I had to report it yesterday, I told her I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to get out of the shop and I was with my son. Again she says "I understand but you had to come yesterday". She went to talk to her boss making me wait 30min mind you with horrible back pain. When she came out she advised that her boss said I must go to the Dr and come back to them. (So I must do all this up and down because of your negligence) I told her I will do that once I get a letter from the acknowledging what happened and that they were aware. Again I had to wait an added 30min of not more. As they had to get the letter from head office. I got the letter after waiting for so long. The letter does not acknowledge or say they are aware of what happened, just that an incident was reported to them. I asked the manager to sign it she did and I left. On my way out I phoned the number on the letter. And told them what I saw, the lady advised that they are aware that an incident took place but the shop still has to state their story and so must I and they will investigate. I went to the Dr and guess what I must go for xrays, for my head, neck and spine. My back is ****ing me. Today is 05/04/2019 and I am yet to get a call or anything from shoprite. I am not happy at all that was very neglegent of them and it could've happened to anyone or a child.
