Money market transfer
Good day,<br> My father went to the branch to transfer R200 for me as i am in swellendam(western cape) on Saturday 18 April 2015.I then went to Checkers (swellendam) to collect the money and were told that the pin issued to me by my dad was incorrect. Numerous times my father walked to shoprite and then after the 3rd attempt were told he had to get affidavid from police. In the interim he also lost his cell phone and requested the new pin to be forwarded to my phone, i received a pin this morning, went to checkers and it is still incorrect, the pin was sent from the money market offices,I just feel that nobody is willing to go the extra mile and that the money was my dad's he only send it to me as a gift but if this happens then how safe is this service offered by them. Please assist.thank you
Thank you for taking the time to contact the Shoprite supermarket chain.
We are sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience and that the Money Transfer information was misplaced. In the interest of good customer service, the details of your father's experience will be brought to the attention of the relevant department for investigation.
As a money transfer is a financial transaction, regulations require that specific information be provided in order for the reference number and/or Pin to be resubmitted to the sender. It is, however, important to note that the safeguarding of the money transfer information remains the responsibility of the sender and must never be shared with anyone other than the intended recipient. We will, however, follow up in order to assist in resolving this matter soonest.
