Money Market

I transfered R600 on 17/02/2015 at Shoprite Hillbrow unfortunately i forgot the pin. I then went back on 19/02/2015 and they required my id copy and bank statement in order to resend me the M number and new pin. I have been waiting ever since and aI went yesterday to Shoprite Hillbrow and I was informed I will receive it today and I am still waiting. I was provided with their landline no which does not even ring***. All that needs to be done is to send the the new pin and M number . I am very disappointed

Hello Mathabatha,

Thank you for contacting the Shoprite supermarket chain about resubmitting your M-Transfer number and resetting your PIN.

As discussed, the sender of the money transfer would need to visit a Shoprite or Checkers supermarket to complete this process. The sender must produce their ID document as well as a sworn affidavit.

A query will then be logged to request a PIN Reset and the new PIN and Money Transfer reference number will be sent to the sender via SMS.

It must however be noted that when a sender instructs us to transfer money, he/she will be asked to select his/her own PIN for that specific transfer. It is critically important that the sender protects his/her PIN as one would their bank card PIN for both safety and security reasons. It is because of these regulations that specific information is required by the administration team in order to process a password reset for a Money Transfer.

In the interest of good customer service, the details of your experience will be brought to the attention of Divisional Management for investigation. One of our representatives will be in contact with you shortly.

Kind regards
Devon Currie
