MISSING PHONE, CAMERAS OFFLINE

we visited Shoprite Chris Hani mall in Vosloorus yesterday 10/05/2020, whilst we were about to exit the store my sister realized that her phone was missing same time we went back to the Cashier to ask if she didnt see it and she expressed that she did not see us with any phone,nonetheless we asked if its possible to view cameras, we were told that the camera only show by the start of the till point , already that was a red flag for us that should a well establish store could only keep surveillance of the till point only. we left and went to the parking to search through the plastics we had but still nothing. it is not possible that she could have misplaced the phone anywhere else because whilst we were still in the que i had asked her the time she checked the time to notify me it was 14:56, her till slip records 15h07, we went back to the store to ask for Manager. she stood there for a long time with no sense of urgency from the manager . finally the manager came to us and asked us what was wrong, we explained to the manager that we misplaced the phone and we would like assistance with viewing camera so we can know what happened to it. the manager told us that they are not authorized to make us view the cameras nor are they allowed to take video and show us, what they will do they will go view and come give us feedback. no problem a all we stood, they then returned to say they have already viewed and they did not see anything, they requested my sister till slip nothing about personal details so maybe they can check again and contact us ,we asked why because it had nothing to do with what happened because we had paid separated i then gave them mine little did they know that the correct slip was left with us, how am i to believe that they saw nothing if i have no evidence of what they are saying. i find it heart breaking that just because the store is at the locations then we should receive less treatment, less safety control and less customer experience. customer service at this store is not up to standard infect its pathetic .
