Miserable early morning exp shoprite Eloff JHb

Firstly I called Head office in CT on the 7th Feb to ask how to go about becoming a agent selling the stamps they have at the money Market section. I got excellent service form her and so went early the next morning to my nearest Branch (Eloff Street JHB) to apply at about 7:30am.

I walk in two ladies are behind the counter no one greets so I ignore it and query about becoming an agent the first lady tells me I must bring my ID to them in November to apply as applications are closed. So I ask her what does she mean because I called HO and was told I could apply at any branch.

She then turns to her colleague and asks her in another language about my query. The colleague then turns around and says the Eloff street branch is full they have reached quota of agents and are not allowed to take anymore applications.

No proper training on the product no customer etiquette.

So I let this pass and decide to go to the till and get cash. The first teller tells me she doesn’t have cash R100. I tell her to please ask the teller next to her. She responds by telling me very rudely GO THERE.

So I keep quiet get to the teller next to this very rude young girl and she puts in my card twice and tells me its declined which I know is totally wrong because I always check my balance before attempting to draw cash.

Now my query is this

-Why are the tellers and staff firstly not trained to greet clientele and be courteous if they haven’t been taught this at home?

Why are they not receiving proper training on how to use the equipment and

Why are they not being trained on the Shoprite specific products?

Why put an *********** and rude person in the frontline of your business and lose millions because I promise you as a customer any customer the persons attitude firstly and secondly their competence in what they are selling or marketing does actually make a huge difference
