MANAGER WHO CAN'THE ENTERTAIN CUSTOMER QUERIES

I was looking for a cast iron pot in the store and couldn't find it! When I was about to pay at the counter, I inquired about it and a very generous customer friendly employee who was packing at the till took me exactly where it was. I was so excited that my potjie meal was not ruined! I offered to buy her chocolate to express my gratitude and she said they are not allowed to take gifts from customers! I was amazed and since I was swiping, I insisted she take it. The security refused to clear it for her and I asked to speak to the manager so she can explain to me what's the reasoning behind! The security came back and said that's impossible and she's not coming! There she was laying against the till doing nothing! The security advised me to give it to my children and I told him I had no children in Standerton! I politely returned the less than R8,00 chocolate slab for a refund. In my pocket was change I forgot I had! I still thanked my employee of the month with a R 20, 00 note. I'm not against policy, I just wanted to understand!
