Knights In Shining Armour

On Monday 24 Feb 2020 my wife went to the Shoprite store in Vredendal where we live. Long story short, her mobile phone went missing. Whether it was ****** during a lapse of concentration or whether she misplaced it is still not clear, however, I have to compliment and thank the manager of the store for the way the handled everything trying to help in any way they could.

Fred Mostert is the store manager and he was onto the cameras immediately when my wife went and asked him for assistance. He looked at every possible piece of footage that could provide any clues. He "followed" her through the store to see if they could pick up theft or any other possible scenario. Later on, when we were both home already, he phoned and said to us that he was walking through the store calling my wife's number to hear if he could pick up whether the phone was lying anywhere inside the store and even went as far as saying that he would do the same once the store was locked and quite so that he could hear better.

At the end it was a dead-end street I'm afraid but the way Fred, and I am sure some of his staff, was looking for the phone one would swear it was a child that went missing. I would like to thank Fred and his staff on my wife's behalf and mine for the way they treated this case and that they were prepared to do it. These are definitely actions that one doesn't see these days anymore.
