isn't customers a no 1 priority in a business?

I was at Shoprite church street in Pretoria central and the cashier who was helping us was so friendly and helpful but the supervisor totally the opposite?the cashier had a problem with the scanner it kept on scanning twice everytime then she would call her supervisor (lebone)to void the extra items for her bt when she called the supervisor to come and void for her the supervisor lady was on her cell phone and told us to wait.i jst cant believe that I stood a long que then next thing I still have to wait for the supervisor to come and void an Item for the cashier for almost 10min while she's busy chatting on the phone.and even when she came to the till she ddnt even bother to apologise to customers it's like it ddnt eve bother her.is that the kind if service that Shoprite offering/or is it that because its in a black people market place?
